Root Canal

Thank God for Noni Net and Opa Erik!!!
I had to go for a root canal today, mind you- RJ has never had a bottle and I just started pumping and only had 3 oz saved up, anyway, they came with me and I nursed him right before hopping in the chair. He was so good for them though, they played with him for a while and read him some Dr. Seuse, and kept him entertained until he fell asleep 10 minutes before I was done. All worked out great.
Huge milestone today: my Bubs grew out of all his newborn pj's. He's too long for them now. I'm having mixed emotions about this; on one hand I'm so glad my little man is growing healthy and strong, on the other, he's getting soooo big soooo fast!!! He already seems huge to me!
Tony has been working like a mad man. Having a child has changed him so much, for the better. I've never seen a man so in love with his boy, and so dedicated to his family. He has been amazing. Working 6 days a week, 12 hour days and comes home with a big smile on his face and hangs out with the boy. I have a whole new found respect for Tony, for so many reasons. I'm thankful for him every day!

Cousin Arthur!

Cousin Arthur came over for a few hours today, which was a blast, we all played outside with the doggies for a while and climbed up the back 'mountain', it was fun! RJ slept through some of the action in my arms but that's ok. Arthur really enjoyed playing fetch with the dogs as well.
I'm realizing, a little late in my opinion, that I have almost no pictures with my baby boy so I'm making it my goal to take more. Just hard to get photos when I'm usually the one behind the camera making him smile or holding him so I have no way of taking a photo of us. Either way, I'm determined to take more!

Manic Monday?

Manic Mondays don't really exist for me currently, but work does start back up for me in two weeks, not looking forward to that. Being a stay at home mom sounds so appealing right now. I do have a ton to do today, but getting things done one by one at a nice pace. The boy is doing great, getting big, smiling all the time. :-) I'm sure loving him.
Things were starting soon:
*infant story time on Wednesday mornings (before Noni's)
*swimming classes next month
*going to Opa and Noni's house on Mondays and Wednesdays
*infant playgroup on Thursdays

6 Weeks

Yesterday was RJ's six week birthday, and I was in Brentwood all day with cousin Jen, John, Eric, Ryan and his fiancé, Candice. Had a blast there, and then came home to his Uncle Danny hanging out with Tony! Fun day all round.
Doing a 3am nursing session currently, hopefully he's sleeping for longer periods soon, but if not, I can wait. :-) I enjoy my times with him. Extra tired now though because I have a badly infected tooth that I'm pretty sure needs a root canal and I can't take pain meds, so I'm in pain and exhausted. Even then, it's still a joy to feed my little guy, and I don't take it for granted, ever!

Another big day

Another big day today, the boy had his first Costco trip, along with going to La Petite Balline, where he is going to start swim classes next month. Then to Noni and Opa's house, then to Great grandpa Rich's for a BBQ with Aunty Mal and Uncle Tim and cousin Eric! Along with Opa and Noni as well. Good day, and lots of fun!

Playgroup

So, we went and met our infant playgroup today. I loved them! They were all very nice and fun! I'm probably going to start going weekly once my guy is just a little bigger and can really interact a little more. :-)
The pictures I'm adding for today are silly ones, just too funny not to add. Hehe my guy is getting chunky! The one of his chunky cheeks and smile is killin' me; melt my heart.

Lunch

So today was a big day for the little guy, went down to BJ's to have lunch with Great Aunt Janet and Great Uncle Robert (I forgot to take any photos, really bummed about that). Then we went over for his first trip to his Noni Net and Opa Erik's house, and got to meet their 9 week old puppy, Bella. She loved RJ and hopped in his carseat and was just hanging out. Wish I had taken a better photo of that too, but this is the best one.
Now tonight, Grandpa Skipper and Debbie are coming over to have dinner with us and see the boy. Big day, full of fun!

Bubs 5.5 Weeks

So, both Tony and I call our son Bubba/Bubs/Bubbas, don't know where it came from but it stuck around. The boy was born with black hair and blue/gray eyes, he's about 5.5 weeks old and now his hair is dark brown and still has blue eyes. At his one month appointment he was 21 inches long and 8lbs 12oz and growing strong. :-) He looks just like his father but as of recently some people are finally starting to say they can see a little me. I still just see Tony!
